White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made an appearance on Fox News that viewers are calling “eerie.”

The 27-year-old, who is the youngest to ever hold the post, spoke on the late night show with host Jesse Watters, about the Supreme Court’s compliance with the Trump administration’s rapid and widespread deportations. The court gave the green light for the administration to restart the deportation of migrants that it claims are members of a Venezuelan gang.

Leavitt took the opportunity to insist that the Supreme Court was standing behind Trump’s widely-criticized immigration policies. She said: “This decision proves that President Trump has always been right from the beginning.

“He will continue to utilize an alien enemies act to remove foreign terrorists… Our team will get to work tomorrow to deport these heinous, violent foreign terrorists.”
Leavitt called the moment a “massive legal victory” and a “massive victory for our constitutional republic.”

Leavitt name dropped Jude Boasberg as one of the “activist” judges who were resisting Trump’s deportation plans. Boasberg was among the judges who fought back against Trump’s decision to invoke a seldom-used wartime authority.

President Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 allows him to remove alleged members of the Tren de Aragua gang without a hearing.

Leavitt continued, saying because of the Supreme Court’s decision today, the “United States is a much safer place.”

Kristi Noem, the Secretary of Homeland Security, echoed Leavitt’s excitement saying in a statement, “leave now or we will arrest you, lock you up and deport you.”

However, many social media users expressed their outrage at Leavitt’s delivery of the news.

@Timothy_Bellman wrote: “This is just the administration putting a partisan spin on the court doing its job. They ruled saying the venue was wrong and ruled the government needs to provide reasonable time for people to file habeas suits.”

Indeed, the Court did rule that detainees subject to removal orders must be “afforded within a reasonable time and in such a manner as will allow them to actually seek habeas relief in the proper venue before such removal occurs.”
