Greg Gutfeld wasted no time stirring up controversy during the debut of his new Fox News game show, and no one was safe — not even the ladies of The View.
A wild new format — and an even wilder joke
During the premiere of What Did I Miss?, Greg Gutfeld introduced viewers to a one-of-a-kind political game show concept.
The show features four contestants who have been in total isolation since January 2025, completely cut off from news headlines.
As Gutfeld fired off bizarre news stories for contestants to decide if they were real or fake, he took the opportunity to slip in a savage joke aimed at The View.
One headline claimed an asteroid the size of Manhattan was set to destroy Earth by December 2032.
As the contestants debated, Gutfeld grinned and said:
“There’s some good news to this story. I think Elon Musk is involved to stop it. I also heard they might try to enlist The View. Send them into space!“
The audience erupted with laughter as he doubled down:
“They’re gonna use their bodies to block the asteroid.”
Fake news and real laughs
After the roast, Gutfeld revealed the asteroid story was, of course, fake — but the damage (and the laughs) had already been done.
The jab felt especially pointed considering the rocky relationship between Fox News and The View, where anti-Trump and anti-Fox comments are a near-daily feature.
Fans divided on Gutfeld’s new show
What Did I Miss? sparked immediate reactions across social media.
Some fans loved the fresh take, with one X user posting:
“Looking forward to What Did I Miss and Gutfeld!”
Another added:
“I can’t wait for this!!!”
But not everyone was impressed.
Critics quickly chimed in with mixed reviews:
“He gets on my nerves and is NOT as funny as he thinks he is,” one viewer complained.
Another jabbed at the concept itself, writing:
“Pretty sure anyone watching Fox News is already disconnected from the real news cycle.”
Two more nights of mayhem
Whether you love it or love to hate it, What Did I Miss? isn’t over yet.
The final two episodes will air May 13 and 14 on Fox, promising more wild headlines, unexpected jokes, and, if Gutfeld has anything to say about it, probably a few more celebrities sent to “space.”
