Donald Trump didn’t hold back during this year’s Easter Egg Roll — and his dig at Joe Biden is already going viral.
The former president was in rare form Monday as he and former First Lady Melania Trump joined guests on the South Lawn for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. But it wasn’t just about eggs and photo ops — Trump came armed with jokes, and Joe Biden was the punchline.
“Do you remember the bunny with Joe Biden?” Trump asked, smirking. “Remember when the bunny took Joe Biden out? He’s not gonna take Trump out!”
The moment he was referring to? A now-iconic viral clip from the 2022 Easter Egg Roll, where a White House aide dressed as the Easter Bunny swooped in to pull Biden away from reporters mid-conversation, apparently to avoid an unscripted gaffe. The moment quickly became meme gold — and Trump clearly didn’t forget.
“That was a beautiful moment, when the bunny saved Joe Biden,” he added, before delivering another zinger:
“The bunny’s not going to save me, right? I got a better bunny.”
Melania smiled by his side as Trump dropped the line, and social media lit up instantly.
