Devlin “Duck” Hodges Celebrates Fiancée Lainey Wilson’s Seven ACM Award Nominations
Lainey Wilson just received seven ACM Award nominations—and her fiancé, Duck, is thrilled, to say the least!
The nominees for the historic 60th ACM Awards were announced on Thursday (March 27). Lainey earned nods as both a singer and songwriter.
She also scored a nomination for Entertainer of the Year. She’s the reigning winner in the category, so she could pull off a back-to-back victory.
Look below to see all of the categories Wilson is nominated in this year.
Entertainer of the Year
Female Artist of the Year
Album of the Year (for Whirlwind)
Song of the Year (for “4x4xU”), nominated as both the artist and songwriter

Visual Media of the Year (for “4x4xU”)

No one was more excited about Lainey’s ACM Award nominations than her fiancé, Devlin “Duck” Hodges.
Shortly after the nominees were revealed, Ducks posted a message on his Instagram Story celebrating Lainey’s achievements. He also shared which one of her nominations makes him “the happiest.”
“@laineywilson nominated for 7 different awards for this years [sic] ACMs!” Duck said.
He shared his message alongside a graphic of the Artist-Songwriter of the Year nominees, including Lainey. “But this one makes me the happiest,” Duck wrote. “She loves writing and is so d— good at it and finally good to see her get some recognition for being a bad— songwriter!!!!“
Duck also praised the other nominees in the category, including ERNEST, Luke Combs, HARDY, and Morgan Wallen. You can see who wins during the 60th ACM Awards on Thursday, May 8.

Lainey Wilson And Duck Hodges Announced Their Engagement On February 12
So far, 2025 has been a year of celebration for Lainey and Duck. The couple announced their engagement on February 12.
Duck popped the question on the front porch of a stunning home formerly owned by George Jones. It was the perfect setting for his proposal, as Lainey is a huge fan of “The Possum” and his music.
While Lainey and Duck went on their first date in 2021, they didn’t publicly announce their relationship until 2023. Funny enough, they made their red carpet debut at the 2023 ACM Awards.
Now, the couple is preparing for their wedding, but they haven’t set a date yet. However, Lainey does know one thing about their upcoming nuptials: she plans to ditch her signature bell-bottoms and wear a dress for the ceremony.
“I’m going to wear a dress,” she said. “I hadn’t done the whole dress shopping. We haven’t even picked a date or anything like that. We got some time, but I figured, you know what? I hadn’t worn a dress for him yet, and I guess that would be the day to do it.”
Congratulations to Lainey and Duck! See their stunning proposal photos below.
