An elderly patient had been in intensive care for over a month, and throughout that time, not a single family member came to see him. The only creature who stayed faithfully by his side was his cat.

Had the operation begun under those conditions, the outcome would have been disastrous.

Thanks to the cat’s sudden outburst, the medical team changed course just in time. They first removed the dangerous clot before moving on to the main surgery.

From that day forward, the staff treated their small “assistant” with newfound respect. After all, she had detected what even the most advanced medical equipment had overlooked—and saved her owner’s life.
