The estranged husband of Astronomer HR honcho Kristin Cabot has broken his silence nearly two months after his wife went insanely viral for cuddling her boss on a Coldplay kiss-cam — seemingly defending her by saying they were already living separate lives.
Andrew Cabot, 61, told People via a spokesman that he and his HR wife “were privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert” where she had her cringeworthy moment with her since-fired CEO, Andy Byron.
Even though it would be nearly a month after the scandal before they filed divorce papers, “their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening,” maintained the rep.

“Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued.”
Kristin Cabot, 52, filed the divorce petition on Aug. 13 — almost a month after she was caught cozying up to her boss on July 16 at a Coldplay “Music of the Spheres World Tour” gig in Boston.
Andrew, a sixth-generation heir to the Privateer Rum fortune, had been on a business trip to Japan during the kiss-cam debacle and was blissfully unaware that his wife was publicly cozying up to Byron until he came home.

The Cabots had purchased the $2.2 million, two-story, four-bedroom New Englander-style house — located minutes from the Atlantic coast — just five months before the scandal.
The divorce is Andrew’s third. The businessman has two kids from a previous marriage.
Andrew’s second ex-wife, Julia Cabot, told the Daily Mail that Andrew told her he and Kristin were already separated before the viral kiss-cam scandal.

“I texted Andrew right after [the kiss-cam scandal] happened, and he said: ‘Her life is nothing to do with me,’ and said they were separating,” said Julia, who was married to Andrew from 2014 to 2018.
“That’s why after it happened, I got loads of texts from people with that word: karma. It was like: What you give, you get,” she said, adding that her ex-hubby isn’t “a nice person.”

“Personally, I don’t think he’s affected by what happened at all. I don’t think his feelings are hurt. He’s probably embarrassed, if anything,” she added.
Kristin, for her part, was previously married to Kenneth Thornby, whom she divorced in 2022. The exes reportedly share a child.
In July, Kristin and Byron were mistakenly caught on an impromptu kiss cam as part of “The Jumbotron Song” — which leads the band into their 2005 hit “Fix You.”
Seconds after realizing the pair were on the big screen, the frazzled CEO was seen quickly ducking out of frame, with a mortified Kristin turning away from the crowd of 55,000 concertgoers at Gillette Stadium.

At first, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin thought the camera had captured a sweet moment, saying, “Look at these two.”
But following their bizarre reaction to being on camera, the crooner quickly became confused.
“Holy s–t. I hope we didn’t do something bad,” he said.
It soon emerged that Byron was married to Megan Kerrigan Byron — who had immediately removed her married name from her Facebook page following the ordeal.
Both Kristin and Byron later resigned from their respective positions at Astronomer once news of their romance came to light.
